3 days, camping, friends and beer. Sound like a lot of fun! But Wayhome’s also a music festival right? Between your game of beer pong and flip cup, here is a handy schedule that we think is the best one. Here our schedule for Friday.
Of course, every choice made there is based on our preference and what we think will be the best shows of the weekend. You may not find your favourite band in our schedule. Don’t worry you can go to see them. Our schedule is only there to help you is there is some spot that you don’t know what to go see. Maybe you’ll discover some new music with this?
Shoeclack will be driving from Montréal on Thursday afternoon to be on site Thursday evening. So, we’ll have plenty of time preparing our gear for the weekend and have a proper first party that night. Anyway Friday is a pretty relax day for us in terms of shows.
Caption on the picture:
RED = You can’t miss
GREEN = Good to see but if you miss you won’t regret it
BLUE = Yeah, why not if there is nothing else to do
Friday 22nd – Day 1
2:45 to 3:45 – Femi Kutti & The Positive Forces
Why not to start with some world music. Dancing and singing “The World is Changing” all togheter, music festivals are not all about that? Femi Kuti, is a Nigerian musician born in London and raised in Lagos. Also know to be the son of Fela Kuti a Nigerian superstar.
4:30 to 5:30 – Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats
Every time I see those guys is giving a hell of a show. Don’t go there just for S.O.B. It’s a groovy show and you may find yourself dancing during his set. It’s such a good vibe for a music festival.
9:30 to 11:20 – LCD Soundsystem
You can’t miss that! Maybe you never heard of it, don’t care, you need to go watch at least 2-3 songs. They are coming back together after confirming they would never do that. It’s probably one of your only chance to see them live.
11:15 to 00:20 – Mac DeMarco
Our boy from Montreal who now lives in Brooklyn! A late show of Mac DeMarco is always a must to see. With time he gets more and more serious but still it can turn really crazy. A guarantee a great party!
00:30 to 01:45 – Keys N Krates
Those guys from Toronto will make you bounce until you die. We have just seen them in Québec City and it was insane. They know how to make you jump. It’s the perfect way to end the first day of your festival.
