30th edition of Festival International Nuits d’Afrique from July 12 to 24, 2016 (13 days). For 30 years, the Festival has been the North American gateway for music from Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America. 30 years of letting the public discover top international artists such as Salif Keita, Youssou N’Dour, Amadou and Mariam, Tiken Jah Fakoly, and many others. More than 700 artists from 35 countries will perform all around the centre of Montreal. Evenings of events and original concepts will take place indoors (The Metropolis, The National, The Gesu, Club Balattou, Fairmount Theatre, The Sala Rossa) and outdoors in the Quartier des spectacles.
2016th NOVELTIES !
6 days of outdoors action : The Village Nuits d’Afrique will offer a 6th day of concert events and activities free of charge at the Quartier des spectacles. The Zone Familiale area will be enlarged to welcome properly the numerous festival-goers, increasing year after year.
