Lollapalooza has been expanding well beyond its home of Chicago over the years, and its efforts for expansion have hit hardest in South America. One of those festivals is Lollapalooza Chile: two days of some of the best Chilean and international acts coming together in the heart of downtown Santiago. What is really impressive with this festival is that it’s a dry festival. That’s mean there is no alcool beverage sell on the site. That’s make the crowd much younger than a usual festival crowd in North America.
There is 2 big outside stages where headliners and well known band play one after the other. Then a smaller outdoor stage for electronic and upcoming artists. Then an arena where there is insane shows going on with all the lights and specials effects.
This year’s lineup is a strong one, with Eminem, Florence & The Machine, Mumford & Sons, Jack Ü as headliners. Then Tame Impala, Jungle, Alabama Shakes, Odesza and many more are taking the stage this year.
A weekend pass will cost you 125,000 Chilean pesos (about $250 Canadian).
